Meet the Team
Get to know some of the key staff, volunteers, helpers and people who keep the arts centre going. We have a board of trustees overseeing a hardworking team who run things on a day-to-day basis.
Big thanks to everyone who’s helped us throughout the years. Our events wouldn’t come together without you, whether you’ve put tables away, made decorations, bought a drink or simply stopped by to show your support.

Caroline Eliot: Events Team
Dr. Caroline is a volunteer and a key part of our events team, as well as the go-to person for everything from proofreading to funding applications. As well as being a qualified doctor, she’s also a talented artist!
Dan Wilson: Resident Artist
Under the name Decreate, Dan has established a successful and unconventional artistic practice. His studio has been at the heart of High Wycombe’s artistic community for many years. As well as being our artist in residence, Dan has been our unofficial art director since joining the team in 2018.
Dane Cobain: Social Media Manager
Dane’s been offering a helping hand at the arts centre since falling in love with the place at an open mic. A novelist and successful freelance writer with a background in marketing, Dane joined us in 2020 to run our social media presence and to help out behind the bar while Fran’s on maternity leave.

Fran Pospisil: Bar and Duty Manager
Currently on well-deserved maternity leave, Fran joined our drama group as a set designer (her original profession) before continuing as a volunteer and then taking on her current role. We’re hoping to welcome her back to the day-to-day team in early 2021.
Isolte Avila: Board/Company-in-Residence
Isolte is a founding member of award-winning performance company Signdance Collective. She has a degree from the California Institute of the Arts and pioneered “signdance”, a unique fusion of sign theatre, dance and live music.
Mike Watson: Founder/Trustee
Drumojo Mike helped to save the old St. John’s Church building and to convince Buckinghamshire Council to create an arts centre. Mike founded “Arts4Every1” as a charity back in 2011 and oversaw all aspects of its early days. He launched many amazing events including his drumming workshops and our monthly Sunday Jam.

Neil Marshment: Photographer-in-Residence
Neil Marshment is our talented photographer in residence. His photographs are about recording life from an alternative perspective and seeing things differently, visualising stories, preserving memories and capturing life.
Ruth Gunstone: Centre Manager/Trustee
Ruth had just retired from working in higher education at BNU when she took the helm at the Arts Centre at the start of 2018. Super dedicated and passionate about the creative arts, she oversees bookings, develops the programme and makes sure that our doors stay open. If you’ve got a problem, Ruth can solve it.
Tabitha Gunstone-Pollock: Curator
Tabitha is an artist and poet from our exhibitions team who’s spearheading a permanent rotating art gallery in our cafe space. A keen animal-lover (she’s never eaten one), she can often be found showing people around Hughenden Manor when she’s not helping out at our events or curating our artwork.

Tony Green: Council Advisor
Tony sits on our board and keeps official tabs on the arts centre while acting as our liason with the council. Also on the committees at Wycombe Museum and Wycombe Heritage & Arts Trust, he’s a busy man in the local community. Still, he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty, and he performs a variety of key behind the scenes roles at the arts centre.
