Art Club
Jul 30 @ 7:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Art Club is basically a bunch of lovely people chatting creative; we natter and drink tea or beer, mood depending.

You can do your own art practise, but don’t feel this is simply for people who can draw or paint- we have photographers, graf heads, carpenters, fashion students, Warhammer modellers, comic writers, graphic designers, painters, you name it. We plan arty excursions, and support and inspire each other to continue our practises.

Times are more flexible than on that flyer, and you’re welcome to get food nearby and eat it in the cafe space (we’d recommend Burger Daddy, Turkish Kebab, Rice & Curry and Syrena, all directly opposite the centre!

Paint Along Guided Class working in acrylics
Aug 3 @ 1:45 pm – 4:00 pm

In Jane’s own words:

“Everyone is welcome to this guided painting class no matter what your
experience. I will be there every step of the way, guiding you as a group
and individually.
I will choose an image that will be fun and challenging at the same time,

with the aim of it being a relaxed and enjoyable session.
We will use acrylic paint and all materials are provided.”

The class is limited to 20 people so please book early to avoid
disappointment, but there will be ‘last minute’ availability on the day if places are free.

Price = £15 or £10 – if you bring your own materials (ie basic acrylic paint set, brushes, canvas board or stretched canvas).
Refreshments are provided.

Desborough Carnival
Aug 11 all-day

Join us this summer for the first ever FREE Street Carnival on our very own Desborough Road!

Enjoy Wycombe’s most colourful street, closed off to vehicles and filled with live music, arts and crafts, with an array of fun activities for all ages. There’s prizes for best costume and best mask!

Celebrating our area’s vibrant mix of art and culture, Wycombe Arts Centre will be hosting Carnival Mask making/decorating workshops, showing off ‘Art on the railings’ and Craft stalls, making some noise with drumming workshops and live music, and wowing the crowds with Street Art and graffiti-style painting all along the road, and plenty more street party fun!

Challenge your perceptions and see this real vibrant area for what it really is – a great asset to High Wycombe: truly multi-cultural, full of popular independant businesses, with thriving street food from all over the world, all a stones throw from Eden and the Bus Station.

Sunshine and good vibes!
