Come and Learn to Sing
With Vache Baroque No previous experience singing in choirs or reading music needed!
These sessions will be led by Shivani Rattan and VB Artistic Director Jonathan Darbourne. The content will include:
• ‘Finding’ your voice: physical and vocal warm up exercises
• Learning folks songs and rounds
• Music notation: ‘learning the language’
• Singing from sheet music: how to follow and hold your line
• Improvising vocal melodies
• Practising for an informal showcase on Saturday 14 October
Feedback from our 2022 participants includes:
“Jonathan really created an encouraging open environment where I felt I could have a go even if I wasn’t confident of the sound I was making! Each time I enjoyed spending time with all the different people who’ve come along for a couple of hours of something so totally different.”
£5 per session (includes light refreshments and sheet music to take away). NB this fee is waived for participants joining us via Wycombe Refugee Partnership or One Can Trust.
