
Maz Manzini’s Birthday Bonanza
Come and raise a glass or three in honour of local troubadour Maz Manzini as he celebrates a significant birthday. (21 again!)
You’re sure to be dancing your socks off to the soulful Harry Quinn (8:00pm)
Harry Quinn is a guitar-centric music maker mainly influenced by pop, soul and jazz music.
He played 500 shows between 2017-2018, highlights including headline gigs at The Courtyard and St John’s in London and BBC Three Counties Radio. He’s currently working on the follow up to his debut album “Parallels”.
“Parallels” was released on 7th April 2017. The album features a mix of moods and grooves delivered by soulful vocals, dynamic guitar playing and a most excellent bunch of musicians (full album credits available here).
In mid-late 2018, Harry drew up plans for a small recording space. Construction completed in mid-2019, where he’s working hard on album number two.
And the funktastic Thomas Atlas (9:00pm)
Thomas Atlas is a British Funk guitarist, singer, and songwriter.
His early career saw him touring the UK and USA with Soul and Blues outfits.
Thomas Atlas’ Self-Titled Debut Album is pioneering the return of British Funk Music, taking influence from legends ‘The Average White Band’ and Funk Godfather, James Brown.
Released on the British boutique record label, Hillside Global, the album’s contemporary sound and style has given Atlas an audience of soul record collectors to teenage house music lovers stateside.
Atlas and his band are touring and gearing up for new, exciting shows in 2022, featuring Bryan Corbett of The Brand New Heavies on Trumpet/Brass arrangements.
It’s sure to be a night to remember so get your party pants on and come and join us.
