Let's create

Our aim is to provide a safe space for creativity and the arts while welcoming inclusivity and promoting the creative economy in High Wycombe and beyond. Get involved!

Music

We host live music events in both the Cafe Space and the Theatre Space, as well as in our gardens when the weather is nice.

Get involved by bringing an instrument along to our open mic nights and sunday jams, or learn to play and perform in a supportive setting with The Rock Project.

Arts and Crafts

We love working with local creators and host regular arts and craft workshops, markets and more. Our goal is to help local creators to make a living by giving them a place to showcase and sell their work.

Our Cafe Space is also home to a revolving art gallery. Stop by sometime for a coffee and to take a look around the gallery. All pieces are available for sale with a small commission going to Wycombe Arts Centre.

Theatre

We love putting on shows in our Theatre Space and regularly host touring performances encompassing drama, musical theatre, pantomime and more.

Previous productions include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Chicago and Dario Fo’s Accidental Death of Anarchist. We also have our own in-house theatre company called Roundabout Creative Theatre.

Dance

Dance is an important part of what we do and a vital method of self-expression. We regularly host dance performances and workshops and are keen to further expand our dance programming in the future.

We’re also home to company-in-residence Signdance Collective, which specialises in a pioneering mixture of sign language, dance and music.

Creative Writing

Wycombe Arts Centre is home to a diverse creative writing group that’s led by local storyteller and Celtic harper France Ellul. We host regular writing workshops and networking events and often include “listening corners” at our exhibitions.

We’re always keen to work with and to showcase local writers, and we’d love to hear from you or to see you at one of our workshops!

Workshops

We host a range of workshops throughout the year on a variety of different topics, from musical therapy to screenprinting and puppet-making workshops in partnership with local creators.

Our workshops are designed to cater to all experience levels and to provide a welcoming experience to people of all walks-of-life. Check out our event listings to see our current workshop programme, or reach out to us if you’d like to lead a workshop of your own.

Exhibitions

We host regular exhibitions throughout the year and often take part in Bucks Art Week and other local arts initiatives. We welcome touring exhibitions and also curate unique exhibitions of our own.

Keeep your eyes peeled on our events listings and our social media profiles for news on exhibitions including call-outs for exhibitors.
