Film Screenings

Join Films @ Wycombe Arts Centre (spearheaded by Florence Tennant) for regular film screenings in our stunning Café Space, from small productions and cult classics to foreign language films and big award winners.

Throughout the years, we’ve screened dozens of films including those by indie film-makers, as well as forging partnerships with the local Fisheye Film Festival. We’ve also recently been fortunate enough to upgrade our entire setup thanks to recovery funding from Arts Council England, allowing us to provide a much more immersive experience.

For more info, check out our events listings or join the Films @ Wycombe Arts Centre group for more details!

Theatre at Wycombe Arts Centre

We host a huge amount of both amateur and professional theatre and drama performances in our fantastic venues.

We have our own theatre group (Roundabout Creative Theatre), as well as connections with many local production teams like Dread Falls Theatre and Lane End Players.

Our Productions

From cutting-edge dramas to musicals, pantomimes and comedy sketch shows, we’ve hosted a huge selection of theatre companies, productions and talent, often before they went on to acheive national and international success.

Some of our most popular productions have included Chicago, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Dario Fo’s Accidental Death of an Anarchist.

Roundabout Creative Theatre

Roundabout Creative Theatre is an inclusive theatre group for anyone over the age of 17 who wants to have fun exploring and creating original local theatre.

The group is led by Alison and Soobie, two experienced community directors who met whilst training at The Royal Central School for Speech and Drama.

Musical Theatre

Musical theatre brings together everything we love: music, theatre, dance and the arts. We regularly host musical theatre workshops and productions, and full shows look and sound spectacular in our magnificent Theatre Space.

We’re also proud to be at the heart of a network of local creators, which means that we can connect everyone from writers and set designers to makeup artists, dancers and directors.

Our Facilities

Our Theatre Space is fully kitted out with professional quality sound booths and lighting rigs, as well as a raised stage area and capacity for 150 (seated) or 350 (standing) audience members.

Our Cafe Space is more intimate and is better suited for immersive theatre and one-man shows. with a capacity of 70 (seated) or 100 (standing). We also have a small green room and backstage area.

Workshops

We regularly host workshops in partnership with local performers, covering everything from singing and dancing to choreography.

Our workshops are also a great way to get a foot in the door, to make contacts in the performing arts and to get involved in productions through both in-house and visiting theatrical companies.
