Free Art For Well-being Workshops
Join Ruth October for Bucks open weekend at Wycombe Arts Centre
for one of two Art For Well-being Workshops!
These workshops give you a chance to try a variety of art techniques to help with wellbeing by having fun, boosting your mood, or serving as a distraction from a busy mind. Have you ever wondered if art can help improve your wellbeing? Whether you love art and drawing or it is something new you want to try, this is the workshop for you.
You will be guided by the artist in a range of techniques no matter your experience. Don’t worry if you don’t think you’re good at art or cannot draw. The techniques used are to have fun and focus more on the experience than a perfect finished art piece at the end.
The sessions will include a few short activities in the first half that explore the use of art for fun and exploring emotions. After a break there will be a longer focused activity looking at and using nature.
Wondering if the workshops are child friendly? You can attend with a child if they are 6+ or, of course, come by yourself and meet like minded people at the arts centre.
Each session is limited to 8 people ensuring the space is calm and will be taking place outside (as long as it isn’t raining). We look forward to seeing you there.
Please reserve your space using the links below (one session per person)
please also feel free to share the flyer!
