Journey Stick Sculpture – Peel & Paint
The Session:
You’ll whittle (peel) away the bark and transform one or more sticks into a spectrum of colours.
- Watch a demo.
- Collect your potato peeler (if possible, bring your own).
- Select your paints.
- Create your sculptural art.
- Wash your brushes.
- Return the paints.
- I’ll display your art to dry.
All artwork produced will be used to create a sculpture.
Subscribe and leave your details, and you’ll be invited to the opening of your work being exhibited.
Theme:
Perhaps use colours that remind you of your favourite place, somewhere you’ve travelled from or to. Maybe use colours of your dream destination.
Your journey stick will be featured in a collaborative community sculpture.
How about using colours of cultural heritage, for example flag colour palettes, or symbolic colours.
Families and friends could work together on one stick, or create their own
Times:
11am start with last entry at 3.30pm.
30 mins to 1 hour session, depending on how mindful or energetic you decide to craft. Depending on bookings/drop ins you could produce more than one artwork.

Plus your effort will be part of a collaborative sculpture, to bring more beauty into the community.
Doing our bit:
