Signdance Next Generation Festival

The Next Generation Signdance Artists group has been on an intensive two-year training program. 

Arts Council England supported the Pilot Project, and The Rothschild Foundation funds the Full Two Year Project.

Join us to share the result of their work through live performance and film.

September 8th  1pm – 3pm (Wycombe High Street)

Oriente Plus / Power Cut  A Caribbean Story. The Signdance Collective performs their international street theatre touring show written by Wycombe based Award winning Brazilian writer Pedro De Senna. The wonderful Anjali Dance Company  will join the Signdance Collective to start off the ”Next Generation” weekend events. Anjali’s performance details coming soon!

Inclusion On My Terms Seminar Open For everyone learn about and discuss the subject of Inclusive Arts Practice from Deaf & disabled artists, performers, creators, art managers, and disability arts practitioners. Learn communication skills and ways of making your artistic practice and arts organization more accessible and inclusive. This seminar is run by Zoe Partington Zollinger

September 9th from 7:30pm (Wycombe Arts Centre)

Faces Places & Broken Hearts A Research & development of a new Signdance Theatre Performance based on the themes ”The Places We Live the People In our Lives Our Loves & Or Broken Hearts ” This work is the first Performance created with a cast of Signdance Next-generation Artists.

You Have 1/2 A Second To Impress Me A multi-media work by Rob Corcoran 2080’s / 73 Degree Films exploring our relationship with the media, ego, self (ies), and fame. The work includes new music, shadow choreography, and exquisite digital images.

Next Generation Artists Films By Signdance collective director David Bower with Music By Angelina Schwammerlin. Filmed in Croatia at the Signdance Europe base in Zadar.
