Wycombe Life Drawing with Derek Ogbourne

Take time to draw, practise your skills and explore drawing from a live model!

Our regular Life Drawing sessions offer space to experiment with different techniques, develop your skills and work at your own pace. Whether you’re a beginner, returning to drawing or an experienced artist looking for a regular place to practise, you’re welcome to work in your own way.

Sessions begin with shorter poses before moving on to longer studies, giving you the opportunity to explore gesture, proportion, form and detail. The sessions are largely self-directed, with a tutor on hand to offer advice and guidance whenever you need it. You can simply get on with your own drawing or ask for support as you go.

When: 1st Tuesday and 3rd Monday of each month, 7:30–9:30pm

Cost: £15 per session, plus booking fee

What to bring

Please bring your own drawing materials. Basic materials, including charcoal, pencils and paper, and drawing boards are available at the venue.

About the tutor

The sessions are led by Derek Ogbourne, an established visual artist with 25 years of teaching experience, including teaching to MA level. A graduate of the Slade School of Fine Art, Derek works across drawing, painting, film, performance and installation. He brings his experience as both an artist and an educator to the sessions, offering guidance to those who want to develop their skills while allowing everyone the freedom to explore their own approach.
